Every year, Cozumel bursts into color and rhythm as Carnaval takes over the evening waterfront. Dancers twirl to upbeat music, and floats so elaborately decorated they draw out the oohs and ahhs. Excited onlookers line both sides of the Mainstreet (Melgar), cheering as performers toss candies, beaded necklaces, and tiny treasures into the crowd—smiles everywhere.
Daytime events are just as lively; dancers in shimmering feathered costumes and surprise floats pop up along our side streets, turning everyday corners into spontaneous celebrations.
And evening Carnaval isn’t just a parade—it’s a full-blown fiesta that spills into the town plaza. Food vendors serve up local Mexican dishes, drinks flow freely, and the energy is electric. Whether you're dancing in the street or snapping photos, you’ll feel the warmth of the island in every beat.
If you’ve never experienced Cozumel’s Carnaval, this is your moment. Pack your camera, grab your flip flops, and come soak up the sunshine, music, and magic. Everyone’s invited!
Casa Colonial Cozumel Carnaval dates available: Saturday, February 14th – 23rd, 2026 (See exact dates online)
