TERMS OF SERVICE

Your check-in and check-out dates will automatically be sent to you after completing your reservation and 50% non-refundable deposit.
Very important: Please reconfirm your flight arrival information one week before your arrival and advise us of any changes. Groups arriving by ferry will receive special arrival instructions.

Security Deposit Agreement
I understand that my security deposit of $300.00 U.S. Dollars for Casa Colonial’s Villas is subject to a satisfactory inspection and inventory report by a representative of Casa Colonial** , and that following a satisfactory report, my security deposit will be returned. I understand that all refunds will be returned upon departure.
I understand certain expenses may be deducted from my security deposit including, but not limited to, the following:

to repair or replace any damaged or missing items

to pay for any extraordinary cleaning of the premises

to repair or replace damaged furniture, stereo, TV, DVD players, or appliances

to replace missing or lost keys and locks

to pay for any outstanding accounts renter has accrued during their stay such as cook or food services or vehicle rental left unpaid upon departure.

I understand that I am liable for the above costs throughout the duration of my occupancy of the villa even if not caused by myself personally, but by any guest I may have on the premises, whether such guest is occupying the villa or not. I also understand that I may be charged the full replacement cost of items. Charges for importing items from the US or a service charge may be added to cover the time required to obtain the item. (Many items are difficult or impossible to obtain on the island.)
I understand that only registered guests are permitted on the premises without prior authorization from Casa Colonial, and that no business is to be conducted on or from the premises whether or not for profit. Furthermore, I understand that violation of this part of the Security Deposit Agreement may result in immediate eviction from the premises and full forfeiture of my security deposit.
I agree to immediately report any malfunctions or damage to any item, appliance or fixture located in or outside the villa or any maintenance problems directly to Casa Colonial.
I agree to release and hold harmless any and all parties involved with the rental, management and reservations of Casa Colonial and the owners and employees of said property and to release and hold harmless Casa Colonial and it's owners or representatives for any loss or damage to personal property or for any injury.
I agree to adhere to the Vacation Home Guidelines provided by the House Manager and to vacate the villa on the departure date shown above no later than 10:00 am.

Payment and Cancellation Policies
All rental fees, taxes, and security deposits quoted are in U.S. Dollars. An initial non-refundable payment of 50% of the rental fee is due in order to confirm a reservation. The balance of the rental fee, is due 30 days prior to arrival at Casa Colonial. The security deposit (due upon arrival) will be returned to you on the departure date; subject to a satisfactory inspection.

There are no refunds of the rental fee balance if cancellation is requested within 60 days of the arrival date. Refunds on cancellations prior to 60 days of arrival will be made only if we are able to re-book the same villa for the exact same dates and at the same rental rate. All cancellations regardless of whether we are able to re-book the home or not; are subject to a $150 processing fee. Cancellations for reservations between 12/23/23 and 01/3/24 will incur a $300 processing fee. We strongly suggest purchasing travel insurance that can be obtained from your travel agent or airline/charter or try http://www.allianztravelinsurance.com/.

Check Out Time
Due to the scheduling of flights in and out of Cozumel, it is possible to have a group depart and another group which arrives on the same day. Because of this, it is necessary for departing renters to check out by 10:00 AM on the day of departure so the home can be prepared for the next renters. Baggage can be stored in our storage unit if your departing flight is later than your check out time.

Maid Service
Casa Colonial includes maid service and is based on a seven day reservation (i.e. upon check in, check out, and mid-week). A maid will come to clean the house but will change the linens and towels once during the week. Personal laundry of the renters is not included in this service although each villa has its own washer and dryer for personal use. Maid service is not provided on Sundays or major Mexican holidays. Should you require additional maid services please contact management personnel directly and they will be happy to accommodate you (additional charges will apply).

Telephone Calls
The telephone room at Casa Colonial has two phones. One phone is for local calls and the other phone is for international calls; free of charge for the convenience of our guests. Calls can be made to the USA, Canada, as well as select European countries. We only ask that you limit your long distance call times as a courtesy to the other guests.

Ground Transportation
You will need to obtain ground transportation to Casa Colonial from the Cozumel airport or Ferry Dock. You can purchase a ticket for one of the airport vans or take one of the taxis just off the pier. Simply tell the van or taxi driver to take you to Casa Colonial, Avenida 35 Entre 8 Y 10. If you arrive on the ferry from the mainland; detailed instructions can be given to you upon request that are very easy to follow. Due to local transportation unions, we are not able to personally transport you to Casa Colonial. Our management team will wait for you at Casa Colonial and make sure you are settled into your villa.
