For nearly two decades, Casa Colonial has welcomed travelers seeking a private, authentic, and deeply personal stay in Cozumel. Many of you have become part of our extended family — returning year after year, celebrating milestones, and watching the estate evolve alongside us. Today, we’re excited to share an important update about the future of Casa Colonial and the guest experience we’re creating.

A Vision Years in the Making

When we first imagined Casa Colonial, we envisioned a place where friends and families could gather together while still enjoying the privacy of their own villa. That dream took a major step forward with the construction of the Pavilion — the heart of the estate and the space that brings everyone together. It transformed Casa Colonial from a collection of villas into a true private retreat.

Over time, we saw how groups naturally gravitated toward using the entire property. Guests cooked together, lounged together, celebrated together, and created memories that simply aren’t possible in a traditional hotel or single‑unit rental. The estate was always meant to be experienced as a whole.

Building the Infrastructure for the Future

Behind the scenes, we’ve spent the past year preparing Casa Colonial for this next chapter:

• We built a dedicated HotelRunner platform to serve as our new operational backbone.

• We connected the estate to major travel partners — Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, and others — ensuring seamless availability and rate parity.

• We retired the individual villa listings and consolidated everything into one unified offering: Casa Colonial – Entire Estate.

• We refined our direct‑booking website to reflect the true nature of the property and to make the reservation process clearer and more intuitive.

This transition wasn’t just technical — it was strategic. It allows us to deliver a more consistent, elevated, and boutique‑grade experience for every guest who stays with us.

Why We’re Moving to an Estate‑Only Model

Offering the entire estate as a single reservation unlocks the full potential of Casa Colonial:

• Guests enjoy complete privacy and exclusivity.

• Groups can gather in the Pavilion while still retreating to their own villa.

• We can maintain the property to the highest standard without the fragmentation of multiple overlapping bookings.

• The experience becomes more intentional, more cohesive, and more aligned with what Casa Colonial truly is.

This shift also reflects how the majority of our guests already use the property — as a shared retreat for families, friends, weddings, reunions, and special celebrations.

A Special Note for Our Legacy Guests

Many of you have stayed with us for years, sometimes in a single villa, sometimes in two or three. You’ve been part of our story, and we want to honor that relationship.

While individual villas will no longer be bookable on platforms like Expedia, VRBO, Airbnb, or Booking.com, we are still happy to accommodate legacy guests directly whenever possible.

If you’ve stayed with us before and wish to reserve fewer than all four villas, you may reach out to us personally. We’ll do our best to assist based on availability and the estate’s booking calendar.

Casa Colonial is entering a new era — one that stays true to our roots while elevating the guest experience to something even more special. The estate has always been more than the sum of its villas, and this transition allows us to embrace that fully.
